Satellite has a pivotal role to play within the infrastructure of every mobile operator’s network. Datasat has established a record for developing high end GSM and TETRA technologies for organisations such as emergency services, military, utilities and government departments.

As GSM and TETRA evolve rapidly, we work closely with the organisations that use them to design, test and deploy solutions that make the most of interoperability and performance improvements as they come to market. Datasat is working with manufacturers of handheld mobile technology to design complementary solutions to deliver high speed data to mobile stations via a single broadcast carrier. We are helping make the secure delivery of large files and streaming video to handheld devices a reality. This will be particularly beneficial for frontline applications like the streaming of CCTV footage to senior officers at an incident for more effective decision making.
