Phil Emmel Managing Director Founder and owner of Datasat Communications, Phil developed the company
from a projects-based operation into an internationally acclaimed
global VSAT network operator. Phil started his technical working life
providing services to the London Stock Exchange. | | Bill Power Operations Director Bill joined forces with Phil in 1990 and has been influential and
instrumental in the decisions made to build the business. Bill is an
integral member of the Project Team, and has visited almost every
location in our 150+ site worldwide network. | | Bernie Branfield General Manager Bernie joined Datasat as Technical Manager in 2003 before becoming
General Manager in 2006. He has designed and managed the build and
operation of both international and domestic VSAT networks. Prior to
Datasat, Bernie was General Manager, Network Operations with Kingston
Communications, Chief Engineer with TLI Satellite Services and Senior
Engineer with BBC Transmission. |

John Elsbury FCCA Finance Director Together with his wife Paula, John set up his own accounting practice,
Elsburys, in 1990. Datasat became an early client and as the Company
grew John adopted the role of in-house professional advisor before his
official appointment as a Director in 2001. He has played an important
part in 19 years of Datasat growth. | | Frank Overton Rankine Road Teleport Manager With over 25 years experience in operating and maintaining both Military
and Commercial satellite communications systems, Frank now manages our
Rankine Road Teleport and distant terminals within the FCO Embassy
Network. | | Terry Power HR & Administration Manager Terry has been with Datasat since its registration in 1987. Originally responsible for the project management and rollout of worldwide VSAT networks, she is now in control of budgets and first-line accounting and manages the implementation of staff policies and procedures. |

Roger Mandeville Senior Account Manager Roger has over 35 years’ experience in electro-mechanical engineering
environments, including 17 years in the telecommunications industry.
His depth of knowledge has ensured the successful and cost effective
roll out of major worldwide networks for government agencies and
commercial organisations. | | Scott Mumford Sales Support Engineer As Datasat’s Sales Support Engineer Scott brings with him 10 years of
satellite systems experience. Scott is CISCO certified and has an in
depth knowledge of IP, data and broadcast via satellite. | | Chris Stevens Operations Manager Chris has used the first hand knowledge and experience gained as a worldwide communications engineer to ensure the most successful, and cost effective, installation, service and maintenance programmes for our customers. In addition, Chris manages our 24/7/365 Network Operations Centre which is considered to be one of the best in the industry. |
